Smokes that make you go “hmmmm”

I’m going to start a series of posts that will go on for a while and hopefully spark some interaction.  They will be questions that are make most of us uncomfortable and designed to create conversation among a wide range of people.  Some of them will be mysteries and paradoxes seen in the Bible.  Some will be on things that divide in the church.  Some will be on obeservations about the world in which we live.  The purpose of the posts are not to spark controversy, but encourage conversation.  I still have a ton to learn, and I am hoping to learn from this as well.

What is the ultimate authority in the life of a Christ Follower?  Is it Jesus?  Is it the Bible?  Is it the Church? Or is it some combination of the three?  How does the community seen within the Trinity fall into the spiritual life of the believer.  Hmmmm.

I know what I think.  I’m interested in hearing from others if you are out there.  What is the authority and how do we communicate that to those who are seeking out a relation ship with God through Christ?   Give me your thoughts, but keep it nice!  (I will delete overly arrogant and obnoxious posts.)
