Interesting Smoke Tonight

Posted in Uncategorized by heel93 on August 21, 2008

Short but sweet…like shwisher sweets.  (I’m not shure if I spelled that right.)

1.  I saw EIGHT deer in my neighbors yard.  BTW, deer don’t get stuck in headlights.  They run like crazy or just have some big beef with large silver mini-vans.

2.  I had a great time with some guys in the area who are interested in starting a church in Durham.  Great group of people.  We played Rock Band until around 11 tonight, and I must say that I’m a future drumming prodigal.  You know how you watch Oprah and she has all these young “prodigals” on that make you want to scream.  She’s all … “isn’t that great?  You are so amazing.”  I’m like, :b (me sticking my tongue out).  I think we are all prodigies at something…most of us never discover it.  I’m a Rock Band drum prodigy and just didn’t find out until now.  (Erik, if you read this you will know I am, we’ll, stretching it a bit.)  Guys from the group tonight, if you are reading this, you will know I’m stretching it a LOT.  :)

3.  I saw this picture on a tweet by Joe Thorn.  It is interesting how the conservative/reformed and social conerned are merging.  It is a good thing.  I think God is smiling on Christians who are following Christ into the world.

3.  I’m tired and I’m going to bed.  No great theological insight tonight.  Love God.  Follow Jesus.  Love your neighbor as yourself.

Out of smoke.  :)

No one has to know how far you’re stretching the truth. Should I take this opportunity to mention that I’m a guitar prodigy? I’m also good at knitting and growing pansies. No one can see this post right? Smoke up…

Before long the world will be up in flames with all my smokes. I guess you could say I was “blowing smoke” when I said I was a guitar prodigies. I don’t knit, but bro…just stick the flowers in the ground and water. It ain’t that hard. :)
